Hey Y’all, here’s an intro so you can get to know me, and I can’t wait to connect with you, hear your stories, and maybe even share some of them here. Let’s inspire, we’re in this together!

My name is Mary, I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. I am the youngest of 8 kids, in a good solid Catholic family… and yes my parents had a television! 😉 I was homeschooled, and even got dressed out of pajamas once in a while to enter the real world (though let’s be honest, who wouldn’t rather wear pjs?).
I am divorced, and am a single mom to two crazy little yahoos that are all-boy! My oldest is 7 and has ADHD. I am trying to navigate through what that means for our life, and my parenting, and how we can best survive so that he can thrive. He is smart and kind, and has energy for days!
My youngest is 5 and will be starting Kindergarten in the fall. He has had his share of medical scares including brain surgery and an immune disorder, but is a happy kid, and playing baseball currently. He’s killing’ me smalls!
I work full time at a Truck Dealership as a rental specialist, and have been putting myself through college as well (in fact I am writing this within 2 hours of finishing my last final). I just graduated with my AAS in Business Management.
I have been actively pursing writing for the past year, and was fortunate enough to be chosen and signed on for a 1 year contract with the Omaha Mom’s Blog. I also was a contributor in the past year for The Reader, writing about one of my favorite subjects: food!
I am currently working towards a July launch of my very first children’s book: “Frankie Drives a Freightliner!” I was fortunate enough to have a corporate sponsor in my employer, Trey Mytty and Truck Center Companies, without whom this wouldn’t be possible. For myself, along with my incredibly talented illustrator, Joseph Davis, it has been an absolute labor of love.
More than just a girl telling a story, our main character Joey narrates the adventures of her aunt and heroine Frankie, who drives her Freightliner all throughout our great country. She learns to appreciate what truckers do and just how important they are to our economy, and she has fun along the way, with their rescue dog Marlow in tow.
We can’t wait to share their story and beautiful drawings with you! And the best part is that with each book we sell a portion of the proceed will be donated directly to Make-A-Wish Nebraska, to help grant wishes to those children who need it most! Stay tuned, demand is high for the first printing, and they are expected to sell out fast!

What you can expect from me: an authentic look at life and commentary about navigating through parenting, being a boy-mom, friendships, personal growth, entrepreneurship, travels, budgeting, maybe some dating, food and drink, laughs and loads of coffee and lots of Jesus! Stay tuned, reach out, and let’s be friends.
This blog Looks great!
I look forward to hearing some fun stories- as a fellow boymom in the trenches. 🤪🤣😍

Thank you Mary Ann! I’m looking forward to this new adventure! I think it will be fun, and hopefully also inspiring and uplifting! It can get lonely and make us think we’re crazy sometimes, but we are all in this together! 🥰 #momlove
